5 common questions about Hide or Die
Quick Feedback
Did these codes work for you?
Hide or Die has become my go-to prop hunt game on Roblox. It takes the classic Garry's Mod prop hunt formula and adds weapons, powers, and an Among Us-style alien twist that keeps every match unpredictable. I've spent way too many hours morphing into random furniture and watching seekers walk right past me.
The game splits players into hiders and seekers. Hiders morph into objects scattered around the map and try to survive until time runs out. Seekers hunt them down by shooting suspicious props. When a hider gets caught, they join the seeker team, making the hunt progressively more intense. It's simple but incredibly addictive.
Why These Codes Matter
Coins are the main currency in Hide or Die, and you need them for everything cosmetic. Weapon skins, knife skins, blaster skins, and various customization options all cost coins. Without codes, you're grinding matches just to afford basic cosmetics.
Here's what codes typically give you:
- Coins - Currency for cosmetics (25-400 per code)
- Weapon Crates - Random weapon skin drops
- Knife Skins - Unique knife appearances
- Blaster Skins - Custom gun visuals
- Event Tickets - Access to special modes like Alien
The 100M milestone codes alone give you exclusive skins you can't get any other way. I'm still using the 100MKnife skin because it looks clean.
Every Working Code Right Now
Last verified: December 24, 2025. I tested every code this morning. Hide or Die currently has 14 active codes - one of the most generous code lists I've seen.
ALIEN1K - Newest code! Gives 1 Weapon Crate and 1 Alien Ticket. The Alien mode is a blast - think Among Us meets prop hunt.
ALIENFALL - Free rewards for the Alien event. Redeem this alongside ALIEN1K for maximum value.
ALIEN2K - Another Alien event code with free rewards. The developers really went all-in on this mode.
MEDUSA - Free rewards. Named after one of the maps - Medusa has some of the best hiding spots.
POLUS - Free rewards. Another map-themed code. Polus is the Among Us-inspired map.
100MBlaster - Exclusive Blaster skin celebrating 100 million visits. This skin is no longer obtainable any other way.
100MKnife - Exclusive Knife skin for the 100M milestone. My personal favorite - clean design that stands out.
CHRISTMAS2024 - Holiday event rewards. Still working even though we're past Christmas 2024.
HALLOWEEN2024 - Spooky season rewards. Another seasonal code that's surprisingly still active.
NEWMAPSOON - Free rewards teasing upcoming content. The developers keep adding new maps regularly.
gamemodes - Free rewards. Simple code, easy coins.
alexisawesome - Free rewards. Developer shoutout code.
ilovethisgame - Free rewards. Community appreciation code.
coleiscool - Free rewards. Another developer/community code.
Total Value: 14 codes worth hundreds of coins plus exclusive skins and event tickets.
Codes That No Longer Work
Good news - there are currently no expired codes! All 14 codes listed above are working as of December 24, 2025. This is rare for Roblox games, so take advantage while they last.
How to Redeem Codes
The code redemption is straightforward:
Step 1: Launch Hide or Die on Roblox and wait for the game to fully load.
Step 2: Click the "Items" button on the left side of your screen.
Step 3: Navigate to the "Codes" tab at the top of the menu.
Step 4: Enter your code exactly as shown in the text box.
Step 5: Click the "Redeem" button to claim your rewards.
Pro tip: Codes are case-sensitive. Copy them directly from this page. I've failed codes multiple times because of typos.
Understanding the Game Mechanics
Hide or Die combines prop hunt with unique twists that set it apart from other hide-and-seek games.
Playing as a Hider
When you spawn as a hider, you have 20 seconds to find a hiding spot before the seeker can see anything. During this time:
- Find a good location - Look for areas with lots of similar props
- Morph into a prop - Press the morph button to transform into nearby objects
- Anchor yourself - Click the Anchor button to fix your position to walls or floors
- Stay still - Movement makes you suspicious
Hider abilities:
- Morph into any prop on the map
- Use weapons to distract seekers
- Activate powers to confuse or slow down hunters
- Collect coins scattered around the map (up to 30 per match)
Playing as a Seeker
Seekers hunt down hiders by shooting suspicious objects. Real props disappear when shot, while hiders reveal their health bar.
Seeker tips:
- Shoot everything that looks out of place
- Watch for shaky objects or props that weren't there before
- Listen for movement sounds
- Check common hiding spots first
- Eliminated hiders join your team, making the hunt easier
The Whistle Mechanic
Every 30 seconds, a whistle blows. If you haven't moved as a hider, you'll start glowing and become easy to spot. This prevents camping in one spot forever and keeps matches dynamic.
Best Hiding Strategies
After countless matches, here's what actually works:
Blend with similar props. Don't morph into a unique object in an empty room. Find areas with multiple similar items and become one of them.
Use the anchor feature. Anchoring to walls or floors prevents accidental movement that could give you away. I've been caught too many times because I bumped into something.
Move during chaos. When seekers are distracted or chasing someone else, that's your window to reposition. Don't stay in one spot the entire match.
Avoid obvious spots. Corners, behind doors, and under tables are the first places seekers check. Think like a seeker - where would YOU look first?
Collect coins strategically. You can grab up to 30 coins per match, but don't blow your cover for a few coins. Only collect when it's safe.
Have a backup plan. Always know where you'll go if your current spot gets compromised. Panic morphing rarely works.
Best Seeker Strategies
When you're hunting:
Shoot everything suspicious. Ammo isn't limited, so spray and pray. Real props vanish, hiders show health bars.
Check props that don't belong. A lamp in the middle of a hallway? Probably a player. Items out of place are dead giveaways.
Watch for the glow. After the whistle, hiders who haven't moved start glowing. Easy targets.
Work with your team. As more hiders get caught, coordinate with your growing seeker team to cover more ground.
Learn the maps. Each map has common hiding spots. Memorize them and check them first.
Maps and Modes
Hide or Die features multiple maps, each with unique layouts and hiding opportunities:
Polus - Among Us-inspired map with spaceship aesthetics. Lots of machinery and equipment to morph into.
Medusa - One of my favorites. Complex layout with excellent hiding spots.
Alien Mode - Special mode where one player becomes the Alien hunter. Use your Alien Tickets from codes to access this.
The developers regularly add new maps (hence the NEWMAPSOON code), so the game stays fresh.
Coin Economy and Cosmetics
Coins unlock cosmetics through the shop:
Weapon Skins - Customize your blaster and knife appearance Powers - Special abilities to use during matches Chests - Random cosmetic drops in four rarities:
- Common
- Uncommon
- Rare
- Spooky
You can also earn coins by:
- Collecting them during matches (up to 30 per game)
- Daily login rewards (free spins and coins)
- Redeeming codes (fastest method)
