Twisteds are the corrupted enemies hunting you through every floor of Dandy's World. After 100+ hours of gameplay and countless deaths, I have learned exactly how to counter each one. This guide covers all 40 Twisteds - their abilities, stats, and the strategies that actually work.
If you are looking for free Ichor to unlock better Toons and Trinkets for surviving these encounters, check out our Dandy's World codes page first. Every bit of currency helps when you are trying to build the perfect loadout against Twisteds.
Understanding Twisteds is the difference between dying on Floor 3 and reaching Floor 20+. Each rarity tier introduces new mechanics that change how you play. I am breaking down every single enemy so you know exactly what to do when you see them.
What Are Twisteds in Dandy's World?
Twisteds are corrupted versions of the cute Toons, transformed by Ichor into hostile enemies. They patrol each floor trying to catch you while you extract machines. Get spotted and they chase. Get caught and you lose health.
This mechanic is similar to the anomaly detection system in Scary Shawarma Kiosk - you need to identify threats and react appropriately. The difference is Twisteds actively hunt you.
Every Twisted has three core stats:
Speed - How fast they chase and patrol. Higher speed means less time to escape.
Detection Range - Vision (line of sight) and Hearing (sound detection). Noise from running, failed skill checks, and completed machines attracts them.
Attention Span - How long they search after losing sight of you. Longer attention means you need to hide longer.
Twisteds come in five rarity tiers:
- Common - Basic chasers with no special abilities
- Uncommon - Environmental effects like blackouts or stationary threats
- Rare - Direct player debuffs and ranged attacks
- Main Character - Powerful floor-wide abilities, spawn Floor 5+
- Lethal - Instant kill attacks, requires perfect play
How Twisted Detection Works
This is critical. Twisteds detect you through vision and hearing.
Vision Detection:
- Line of sight only
- Blocked by walls, objects, and elevation
- Each Twisted has different vision range (50-125 units)
- Breaking line of sight stops the chase if you hide long enough
Hearing Detection:
- Running makes noise (high detection range)
- Failed skill checks alert nearby Twisteds
- Completed machines create sound
- Crouching/walking reduces noise significantly
Pro tip: When a Twisted is nearby, crouch-walk. The speed loss is worth not getting detected. I learned this the hard way after dying to Pebble 20+ times. If you enjoy stealth-based horror games like this, you might also like Hide or Die which has similar hiding mechanics.
Common Rarity Twisteds
These are your training wheels. Common Twisteds have no special abilities - just basic chase mechanics. Perfect for learning stealth fundamentals.
Boxten
Threat Level: Low
Speed: 18 (Chase), 10 (Walk)
Attention Span: 2.5 seconds
Detection: 60 (Vision), 125 (Hearing)
The most basic Twisted. Average speed, average detection, no gimmicks.
How to Counter:
- Break line of sight behind any object
- Hide for 3 seconds and he loses interest
- Standard evasion tactics work perfectly
Trinket Unlock: Blue Bandana
Shrimpo
Threat Level: Low
Speed: 16.5 (Chase), 9.5 (Walk)
Attention Span: 3 seconds
Detection: 70 (Vision), 125 (Hearing)
Slower than other Commons but searches longer after losing sight.
How to Counter:
- Easy to outrun in a straight line
- Hide completely - he will patrol the area longer
- Do not peek out early or he will spot you again
Trinket Unlock: Brick
Poppy
Threat Level: Low
Speed: 18 (Chase), 10 (Walk)
Attention Span: 2.5 seconds
Detection: 60 (Vision), 125 (Hearing)
Identical stats to Boxten. Another baseline Common for practice.
How to Counter:
- Same tactics as Boxten
- Use environment to break line of sight
- Quick hides work fine
Trinket Unlock: Pink Bow
Toodles
Threat Level: Medium
Speed: 20 (Chase), 12 (Walk)
Attention Span: 1 second
Detection: 50 (Vision), 125 (Hearing)
The fastest Common Twisted. Short vision range but terrifying chase speed.
How to Counter:
- Do NOT try to outrun - you will lose
- Break line of sight immediately
- Good news: 1 second attention span means she gives up fast
- Hide behind the nearest object and she forgets you exist
Trinket Unlock: Dog Plush
Yatta
Threat Level: Medium
Speed: 19 (Chase), 7 (Walk)
Attention Span: 2.5 seconds
Detection: 60 (Vision), 140 (Hearing)
Fast chase speed with high hearing range. Dangerous if you are making noise.
How to Counter:
- Crouch-walk when he is nearby
- His slow patrol speed means you can avoid him easily
- If spotted, hide immediately - his chase speed is brutal
Trinket Unlock: Party Popper
Other Common Twisteds
Brusha - Higher hearing range (175). Be extra quiet around her. Trinket: Paint Bucket
Cosmo - Standard stats, good for practice. Trinket: Sweet Charm
Looey - Slightly longer attention (2.75s). Hide an extra second. Trinket: Clown Horn
Tisha - Baseline Common, no special notes. Trinket: Feather Duster
Uncommon Rarity Twisteds
Uncommon Twisteds introduce mechanics beyond basic chasing. They manipulate the environment or have unique trigger conditions.
Brightney
Threat Level: Medium
Speed: 18 (Chase), 12 (Walk)
Attention Span: 3 seconds
Detection: 65 (Vision), 150 (Hearing)
Ability: Increases blackout chance on her floor
When Brightney is active, blackouts happen more often. The screen goes dark and you lose visibility.
How to Counter:
- Memorize the floor layout before blackouts hit
- Use your flashlight sparingly - it reveals your position
- Listen for the blackout sound effect (different from normal blackouts)
- Her red glow makes her easy to spot and avoid
Trinket Unlock: Spare Bulb
Razzle & Dazzle
Threat Level: Low
Speed: Stationary
Ability: Attacks players who RUN through their vine circle
They do not move. A vine circles around them constantly. Walking through is safe. Running triggers an attack.
How to Counter:
- Walk or crouch through the circle - completely safe
- Never run through their area
- If they are blocking a machine, just walk up slowly
- Easiest Uncommon to deal with
Trinket Unlock: Ribbon Spool
Rodger
Threat Level: Medium
Speed: Activates when triggered
Ability: Hides in fake Research Capsules
Rodger disguises himself as a capsule. Pick up the wrong one and he activates, applying Slow III and Confused III debuffs.
How to Counter:
- Fake capsules look slightly different (no tape around them)
- If you are unsure, skip suspicious capsules
- If triggered, hide immediately - the debuffs make you vulnerable
- Communicate with team to warn about fake capsules
Trinket Unlock: Magnifying Glass
Finn
Threat Level: Medium
Speed: 16 (Chase), 8.5 (Walk)
Attention Span: 2.5 seconds
Detection: 55 (Vision), 125 (Hearing)
Ability: Applies Slow III debuff when you complete a machine (5 seconds)
Finish a machine and you get slowed. This makes you an easy target.
How to Counter:
- Clear the area of Twisteds before completing machines
- Have a hiding spot ready near the machine
- Wait out the 5-second debuff before moving to open areas
- Team coordination helps - have someone distract while you hide
Trinket Unlock: Fishing Rod
Teagan
Threat Level: High
Speed: 18.5 (Chase), 10 (Walk)
Attention Span: 2.75 seconds
Detection: 60 (Vision), 150 (Hearing)
Ability: Steals 20% of your Tapes on hit
Tapes are crucial currency. Losing 20% hurts badly. This is why having extra Ichor from Dandy's World codes helps - you can afford better Trinkets to avoid her.
How to Counter:
- Treat her as high priority threat
- Do not take risks when she is nearby
- Perfect stealth is required
- If she is on the floor, play extra cautiously
Trinket Unlock: Fancy Purse
Connie
Threat Level: Medium
Speed: 8 (Walk)
Ability: Possesses machines and damages players who use them (1 HP)
She does not chase. She hides in machines. Use the wrong machine and take damage.
How to Counter:
- Check machines before using them
- Connie-possessed machines have a visual effect
- Just use a different machine
- Not a chase threat, just a progress blocker
Trinket Unlock: N/A (Research reward varies)
Rare Rarity Twisteds
Rare Twisteds directly attack and debuff players. These are where the game gets seriously difficult. If you enjoy challenging horror games with unique enemy mechanics, FNAF Co-op offers similar tension with animatronic threats.
Scraps
Threat Level: High
Speed: 16 (Chase), 8 (Walk)
Attention Span: 2 seconds
Detection: 75 (Vision), 100 (Hearing)
Ability: Ranged tail attack (12-second cooldown)
Scraps shoots her tail at you from a distance. Does not need to get close to hit you.
How to Counter:
- Always use hard cover (walls, large objects)
- Her projectile cannot go through walls
- Bait out her shot, then move while on cooldown
- Never stay in her line of sight
- Peek around corners to check her position
Trinket Unlock: Crayon Set
Goob
Threat Level: High
Speed: 16 (Chase), 8 (Walk)
Attention Span: 3.5 seconds
Detection: 60 (Vision), 100 (Hearing)
Ability: Pulls players toward him (10-second cooldown)
Goob yanks you across the map if you are in his line of sight. Sets up easy hits.
How to Counter:
- Never stay in his line of sight
- Use "peek" tactics - quick looks around corners
- If pulled, immediately run perpendicular to break line of sight
- His slow speed means you can escape after the pull
Trinket Unlock: Friendship Bracelet
Flutter
Threat Level: High
Speed: 18.5 (Chase), 18 (Walk)
Attention Span: 3 seconds
Detection: 65 (Vision), 135 (Hearing)
Ability: Never stops moving while patrolling
Most Twisteds pause. Flutter does not. She is constantly moving, making her patrol pattern unpredictable.
How to Counter:
- Her constant movement is actually a weakness
- Predict her path and slip by while she moves away
- Listen for her movement sounds
- Do not assume she will stop - plan escapes accordingly
Trinket Unlock: Diary
Glisten
Threat Level: Extreme
Speed: 34 (Enraged Chase)
Attention Span: 4 seconds
Detection: 60 (Vision), 100 (Hearing)
Ability: Enrage meter fills when no players nearby. When full, becomes extremely fast and aggressive
Glisten has a meter above his head. No players nearby = meter fills. Full meter = nightmare mode.
How to Counter:
- Someone needs to stay relatively close (but hidden) to prevent enrage
- If he enrages, hide immediately - you cannot outrun 34 speed
- After all machines complete, he enrages automatically
- Finish machines fast and get to the elevator
- This is a team coordination Twisted
Trinket Unlock: Vanity Mirror
Gigi
Threat Level: Medium
Speed: 19 (Chase), 10 (Walk)
Attention Span: 3.25 seconds
Detection: 65 (Vision), 120 (Hearing)
Ability: Steals items from your active slot (10-second cooldown)
Gigi uses an Ichor arm to yank items from you.
How to Counter:
- Unequip valuable items when she is nearby
- Switch to empty slot if possible
- Keep important items in backup slot
- Her ability has limited range - keep distance
Trinket Unlock: Lucky Coin
Blot
Threat Level: Medium
Speed: Stationary
Ability: Spawns moving Ichor hands when he sleeps (10 seconds)
Blot does not chase. When he falls asleep, shadowy hands spawn and move around.
How to Counter:
- Watch for his sleep animation
- Ichor hands are slow and predictable
- Avoid their paths - they deal 1 HP on contact
- Hands disappear after 10 seconds
Trinket Unlock: Mime Makeup
Main Character Rarity Twisteds
Main Character Twisteds spawn starting at Floor 5+. They define the entire floor's strategy. These are serious threats that require the same level of attention as learning Scary Shawarma Kiosk endings - one wrong move and it is over.
Pebble
Threat Level: Extreme
Speed: 25 (Chase), 10 (Walk)
Attention Span: 3 seconds
Detection: 125 (Vision), 200 (Hearing)
Ability: Massive detection range and brutal chase speed
Pebble has no complex ability. He does not need one. His stats are terrifying.
How to Counter:
- Stealth is your ONLY option
- His 125 vision range means he sees you from across the map
- 200 hearing range means any noise attracts him
- Crouch-walk the entire floor
- If spotted, find a hiding spot immediately - you cannot outrun 25 speed
- This Twisted punishes mistakes harder than any other
Trinket Unlock: Bone
Shelly
Threat Level: High
Speed: 20 (Chase), 10 (Walk)
Attention Span: 3 seconds
Detection: 60 (Vision), 150 (Hearing)
Ability: Applies Confusion I debuff to ALL players (reduces extraction speed 25%)
Shelly slows down the entire team's machine progress.
How to Counter:
- Accept that machines take longer
- Have a lookout while someone extracts
- You are vulnerable longer at machines
- Team coordination is critical
- Fast extractors (Vee, Boxten) help offset the debuff
Trinket Unlock: Participation Award
Sprout
Threat Level: Extreme
Speed: 17 (Chase), 8.5 (Walk)
Attention Span: 3 seconds
Detection: 60 (Vision), 150 (Hearing)
Ability: Spawns deadly tendrils under detected players (lasts 15 seconds)
When Sprout sees you, a tendril spawns at your location. Stand on it too long and take 1 HP damage.
How to Counter:
- Keep moving when spotted
- Do not stand still
- Tendrils have a small area - easy to avoid if you move
- The 15-second duration means old tendrils disappear
- Avoid getting cornered where tendrils block escape routes
Trinket Unlock: Savory Charm
Vee
Threat Level: Extreme
Speed: 18 (Chase), 10 (Walk)
Attention Span: 3 seconds
Detection: 60 (Vision), 999 (Hearing)
Ability: Three abilities - Pop-up ads (45s cooldown), Slow II on chase target (10s cooldown), Global hearing
Vee is the most complex Main Character Twisted. She has multiple abilities and can hear EVERYTHING.
How to Counter:
- Global hearing means complete silence
- Do not fail skill checks
- Be ready for pop-up ads - find and click the X immediately
- If she chases you, the Slow II debuff makes escape harder
- This is an expert-level Twisted requiring perfect play
Trinket Unlock: Vee's Remote
Lethal Rarity Twisteds
Lethal Twisteds have one-shot kills. A single mistake means death. These require absolute perfection - similar to the precision needed in survival games like 99 Nights in the Forest where one wrong move ends your run.
Dandy
Threat Level: LETHAL
Speed: 16 (Chase), 9 (Walk)
Attention Span: 5 seconds
Detection: 80 (Vision), 999 (Hearing)
Ability: Instant kill on hit. Spawns if players skip her shop 3 times. Attracted to failed skill checks and completed machines.
Dandy is the mascot turned nightmare. One hit and you are dead.
How to Counter:
- Buy from her shop every time to prevent spawning
- If she spawns: Perfect skill checks only
- Global hearing means zero noise
- Prioritize hiding over objectives
- Wait for her to de-aggro before moving
- Do not take ANY risks when she is active
Trinket Unlock: Dandy Plush
Dyle
Threat Level: LETHAL
Speed: 16-40 (Chase, increases while looking at you)
Attention Span: 0.75 seconds
Detection: 70 (Vision), 999 (Hearing)
Ability: Instant kill. Spawns from TIME'S UP cards. Speed increases the longer he sees you. Attracted to failed skill checks.
Dyle gets faster the longer he has line of sight. At max speed, he is uncatchable.
How to Counter:
- Do NOT look at him
- Break line of sight constantly
- His speed resets when he loses sight
- Use environment to hide and peek
- Move when his back is turned
- This is the hardest Twisted to survive
Trinket Unlock: Train Whistle
Holiday Twisteds
Holiday Twisteds appear during seasonal events (Christmas, Easter, Halloween). They have unique themed abilities.
Notable Holiday Twisteds
Ginger (Christmas, Uncommon) - 10-second attention span. She searches forever. Hide completely and wait.
Coal (Christmas, Rare) - Gains massive speed boost during blackouts. Avoid blackouts at all costs when he is active.
Eclipse (Halloween, Rare) - Howls when spotting players, attracting ALL other Twisteds to that location. Extremely dangerous in team play.
Bobette (Christmas, Main) - Runs to any location where items are picked up. Coordinate item pickups with team.
Gourdy (Halloween, Main) - Enrage meter like Glisten but with global hearing. Requires constant player presence nearby.
Twisted Research & Trinket Unlocks
Research Twisteds to unlock their Trinkets. Use the Research Camera item to take pictures. Having extra Ichor from codes lets you buy better starting equipment for safer research runs.
Research Tips:
- Start with Commons - Easiest to photograph safely
- One photo per floor - You can only research one Twisted per floor
- Get close for better progress - Closer photos give more percentage
- Do not die - You lose the research progress for that run
- Focus on useful Trinkets first - Prioritize Twisteds with strong Trinket rewards
Best Trinkets to Unlock First:
- Dog Plush (Toodles) - Speed boost
- Spare Bulb (Brightney) - Blackout protection
- Friendship Bracelet (Goob) - Pull resistance
- Bone (Pebble) - Stamina boost

Ignoring audio cues - Twisted sounds tell you where they are.
Not communicating - Solo play on Main Character floors is suicide.
Failing skill checks - Practice. Failed checks alert everyone.

Floors 1-4: Common and Uncommon Twisteds only
Floor 5+: Main Character Twisteds start spawning
Floor 10+: Multiple Main Characters possible
Floor 15+: Rare Twisteds become more common
