Frequently Asked Questions
5 common questions about 99 Nights in the Forest
Quick Feedback
Did these codes work for you?
99 Nights in the Forest has become my obsession since discovering it three months ago. This horror survival game perfectly captures that creepy forest atmosphere while keeping you on edge every single night. After surviving 500+ days and unlocking most classes, I can confidently say these codes are essential for new players.
The Diamond economy in this game is brutal. Classes cost anywhere from 25 to 500+ Diamonds, and earning them through gameplay alone takes forever. These codes give you a head start on unlocking the best classes like Cyborg, Necromancer, and Big Game Hunter without grinding for weeks.
Why These Codes Matter
Let me break down the value. The cheapest useful class (Scavenger) costs 25 Diamonds. Mid-tier classes like Lumberjack cost 70 Diamonds, while top-tier classes like Cyborg cost 500+ Diamonds. With just these two codes, you get 17 Diamonds - that's most of a Scavenger class for free.
More importantly, every Diamond counts when you're trying to survive 99 nights. The right class can mean the difference between dying on Night 5 or making it to Night 50+. I've seen too many players quit because they picked the wrong starting class and couldn't progress.
Every Working Code Right Now
Last verified: January 2026. I test every code on my main account before adding it here.
Regular Codes
afterparty - 15 Diamonds. The newest code from the Christmas update. Works perfectly and gives the most Diamonds of any current code.
Special Secret Code
yay fishing - 2 Diamonds (Special method). This isn't redeemed through the normal codes menu. Instead, you need to:
- Equip any Fishing Rod
- Stand in the fishing minigame area
- Type "yay fishing" in chat
- Watch 2 Diamonds fall from the sky
This only works once per account, but it's a fun easter egg that most players miss.
Codes That No Longer Work
These codes have expired - don't waste your time:
- happyhalloween - Expired November 2025 (gave 10 Candy)
The developers don't release codes frequently, so when new ones drop, they're usually tied to major updates or events.
How to Redeem Codes
The redemption process is straightforward once you know where to look:
Step 1: Launch 99 Nights in the Forest on Roblox and wait for the game to fully load.
Step 2: Look for the Diamond icon next to the green plus button in the bottom left corner of your screen.
Step 3: Click the Diamond icon to open the currency menu.
Step 4: Find and click the blue "CODES" button on the right side of the menu.
Step 5: Copy and paste your code exactly as shown. Codes are case-sensitive.
Step 6: Click "Submit" to redeem your reward.
Step 7: Your Diamonds should appear instantly in your balance.
Pro tip: The "yay fishing" code uses a completely different method - type it in chat while holding a fishing rod, don't use the codes menu.
Best Classes to Spend Your Diamonds On
After 500+ days of survival, here's my recommended progression path:
For Beginners (25-100 Diamonds)
Scavenger (25 Diamonds) - Perfect starter class. The +2 sack space is invaluable for collecting resources, and it's cheap enough that you can afford it immediately with codes.
Lumberjack (70 Diamonds) - My top recommendation for new players. The Good Axe and +20% bonus log chance make base building much easier. The sapling bonuses help with long-term sustainability.
Explorer (80 Diamonds) - Great for solo players. The speed boost after clearing fog, larger map view, and +2 sack space make exploration much safer and more efficient.
Mid-Tier Classes (100-200 Diamonds)
Alien (100 Diamonds) - Excellent night vision and the alien tech weapon make this a solid all-around choice. The overheating mechanic takes getting used to, but it's powerful.
Beastmaster (150+ Diamonds) - Summon wolves with steak. Having 5 pet wolves makes survival significantly easier, especially during invasions.
Assassin (200+ Diamonds) - High-risk, high-reward class. The +10% sprint speed and critical hit chance are amazing, but the -15% HP makes you fragile.
End-Game Classes (300+ Diamonds)
Cyborg (500+ Diamonds) - Widely considered the best class in the game. Excellent night vision, infinite ammo, and incredible damage output. This is the ultimate goal.
Necromancer (400+ Diamonds) - My personal favorite for long runs. Resurrect cultists to fight for you. Once you have 6 cultists, you're nearly unstoppable.
Big Game Hunter (300+ Diamonds) - Permanent stat bonuses from consuming animal pelts. The more you hunt, the stronger you become.
Survival Tips for New Players
After hundreds of hours, here are the essential strategies:
Night 1-10: Foundation Building
- Build beds immediately - They give day multipliers, making time pass faster
- Find missing kids - Each kid increases your day multiplier
- Prioritize walls and defenses - The Deer will test your base early
- Stock up on food - Hunger management is crucial
Night 11-30: Expansion Phase
- Upgrade your crafting bench - Higher tiers unlock better equipment
- Build multiple beds - Stack those day multipliers
- Start hunting wolves - You need pelts for better gear
- Explore for better loot - Venture further from your base
Night 31-99: Endgame Survival
- Focus on permanent upgrades - Classes like Big Game Hunter shine here
- Prepare for major invasions - Waves of enemies will test your defenses
- Optimize your base layout - Efficiency becomes critical
- Master the combat system - You'll face tougher enemies
Understanding the Day/Night Cycle
The core mechanic revolves around surviving increasingly difficult nights:
Day Phase:
- Safe time to gather resources
- Build and upgrade your base
- Hunt animals for food and pelts
- Search for missing kids
Night Phase:
- Enemies spawn and attack your base
- The Deer and other creatures hunt you
- Stay near light sources for safety
- Defend your base and survive until dawn
Day Multipliers:
- Beds: Each bed increases the day multiplier
- Missing Kids: Each rescued kid adds to the multiplier
- Higher multipliers = faster time progression = reach Night 99 sooner
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Picking the wrong starting class - Don't go for expensive classes immediately. Start with Scavenger or Lumberjack to learn the game.
Ignoring base defenses - The Deer will destroy an undefended base. Build walls and traps early.
Not managing hunger - Starvation kills more players than enemies. Always have food stockpiled.
Venturing too far at night - Stay near your base when it's dark. Exploration is for daytime.
Wasting Diamonds on bad classes - Some classes like Hunter and Zookeeper are trap picks. Stick to the tier list.
